It's Complicated

It's Complicated was written and directed by a talented woman by the name of Nancy Meyers (The Holiday, Something's Gotta Give). It stars Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin and John Krasinski.

It's Complicated tells the story of Jane and Jake and how their divorce has impacted them and their children. Jake, played by Alec Baldwin, has gone on to remarry a young, single mother who is looking to have more children. Jane has spent the ten years following her divorce trying to come to terms with being single again while running a restaurant and watching her children grow up.When Jake sees how together Jane is and that she is dating again he begins to wonder if he made the right decision.

I generally review movies that I either really like or that are really bad in my opinion. In my opinion, this is a great romantic comedy. It actually has some very humourous moments in it. It's nice to see older actors and actresses in leading romantic movies for a change. Meryl Streep is a wondeful actress as usual. John Krasinski, from the tv show The Office, is funny as a son in law who learns a little too much about his mother in law Jane.

This movie is Rated R for a scene involving drug content and scenes involving sexuality.
