The three stage filtering process (micron, carbon, ultra violet light) results in good tasting and safe drinking water. The carbon filtering helps remove the chlorine taste that exists in many municipal water supplies. The ultra violet light fights bacteria and viruses.

The unit is about 45 inches high, 15 wide, and 15 deep. The plumbing for its water source is similar to that of an automatic ice maker. It operates on 120 volts. There are some safety features which disable the flow of water if the ultra violet light burns out or if the overflow tray fills up.
