Itti Bitz... Ice Cream in a fun form

Itti Bitz are not a new concept.There has been talk of flash frozen ice cream balls for a long time.But when my local Hannaford put up a sign that said "New" next to them, I couldn't resist!

I chose the banana split flavor, and it was definitely a good choice!It really did taste like bananas and chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream.The balls are best eaten when they are still frozen because they melt on your tongue, making the experience all the more fun!However, when they get softer, the are a lot easier to eat because you don't have to "chew" as much.

In any case, I wish they came in huge containers instead of the small one that I bought.I might convert to ice cream balls instead of regular ice cream.
