I've been Hoodwinked

Prior to my disease, I loved watching adventure/action movies, especially the Terminator series. But, after my stint in the hospital, my movie tastes changed. We began buying comedies. But, we found that the animated films for families had the best stories and comedy structures.

So when Hoodwinked came out in the theaters (I am not allowed to go to places where a lot of people are herded into seats like cattle), I anxiously waited for it to come out on DVD. I checked my bookstore, my grocery store, and other stories for signs that this movie was out on the shelves.

Finally, it was here. We made a special movie night, popped our popcorn, and popped the DVD into the DVD player.

For those of you who have not seen this movie, it is a twisted fairytale that includes redriding hood, the wolf, a squirrel, a rad grandma, a woodsman, and other characters. The big problem? Someone is stealing all the good recipes in the hood. And, the detective isn't sure who is responsible. But, coffee is a big player in this movie.

We had a great time. The story was good. The animation was excellent. My husband is still using lines from the movie. It was a great success in our house.

I can't wait for another movie from Kanbar.
