Ivy And Bird's Nest Make Cute Planter By JPnMO on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I found this item at a Christmas Tree Shop in Massachusetts. Ivy is something I never tire of, so that appealed to me a lot. At the time, I had a bird's nest with eggs sitting in the middle of one of my flower pots on my deck and I was watching it daily. It seemed as if I was meant to find this pot.

I'm not totally clear what this is for. I have used it as a pot for plants in the past, but it's empty now and I'm trying to figure out what I want to use it for. It would be good for rolled up washcloths or towels or any other number of things.

The pot is ceramic and it's heavy. The color is off white and the design is painted and very pretty. The one plant that I want to grow in it, which of course is ivy, is one I never have any luck with. I don't know why I can't grow ivy for any length of time, but I've always failed at it. If I can't decide on something else, I'll try another plant. There is no drainage in this pot, so perhaps that's part of my problem.
