J A Henckels Knife Set

When my husband and I got married 3 years ago I wanted to get him somthing special as a wedding present. He really enjoys cooking and has a wide selection ofindividual knives but he didn't have a really nice set of knives. I found this set of J A Henckel knives at Dillards on clearance for $59.99, I believe at that time they normally sold for around $129.

This is a very nice set of knives. They are very sleek and stylish looking. The handles are black on the sides with a silver metal piece running through the middle. The blades are made of tempured steel and has the J A Henckel name engraved on them. The set includes 6-4 1/2 in. steak knives, 4 in. paring knife, 5 in. serrated utility knife, 6 in sandwich knife, 8 in. bread knife, 8 in. chefs knife and a 6 in. filet knife.

The knives come in a hardwood block that has the J A Henckels logo on the front. The knives are supposed to be dishwasher safe and the few times that we have washed them in the dishwasher they have not suffered any damage. I usually wash them by hand.

We have been using these knives for almost 3 years and they are still just like brand new. We have not had to sharpen any of them yet. I would give these knives an A++ rating and would recommend them to anyone.
