Jansport Backpack
By k0b3x onThe Jansport Right Pack may be the most popular backpack used in schools today. The Right Pack comes in many different colors and features a leather bottom for added comfort and stability. The leather bottom allows students to carry very heavy books without worrying about a possible hole. This model from Jansport is very comfortable to wear and has a very simple and attractive design. It features three zippered compartments. The second compartment has a key holder and places to insert pencils and pens. For students looking for huge storage capacity, I would not recommend this backpack. But for most average high school and college kids, this backpack is plenty big and will last a very long time. The straps are easy to adjust and the new zippers are reliable so you know they won't open up by themselves. I definitely recommend this model for the average student.

Yup, it was my favorite when I was in school.
I had the model of this that was produced in 1992. It lasted me through 5 years of graduate school (read "heavy books"), riding my bike to class every day and I'm still using it for day hiking, although it really is designed best as a school bag. But the leather bottom is great.
