Jay Turser Vintage Series Strat Copy By Jonny Randall on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This guitar was my first electric guitar. It is a low end Strat copy. This is a great electric guitar for beginners as it is fairly cheap and is a good introduction to what an electric guitar is all about. It has a decent sound for a low end guitar, very much like a strat but with less output and overall tone. One thing I noticed was that the finish is actually quite good on this guitar. It takes quite a bit to put a dent or chip in it.
The neck is about the only solid piece of wood on the guitar, the body is just pressed wood. The tuning keys needed to be replaced within a year because 2 of the 6 gave out and just wouldn't hold tension anymore. The input jack also started giving out, and I took it apart to see what was wrong, and to my surprise the wires weren't even soldered on, they were just tied and had come loose.
Overall a decent guitar for beginners, but that is about it. I wouldn't recommend this guitar for any guitarist higher then the beginner level.

Great to know. I guess it may be better to spend a little more for something that will last through the beginner and more advanced years. Although, this may be great for people that tend to get bored with hobbies quickly.
