John Carpenter's They Live

A classic telling of aliens controlling humanity.This older movie stars Roddy Piper.Basically he is homeless and jobless, wondering the streets.He finds employment doing construction, and is befriended by a guy that takes him to a homeless shelter.When he arrives there, he notices weird stuff going on, like boxes being transported from the church next door.When he stumbles on a box, he finds a pair of sunglasses that when worn, he sees subliminal messages hid in ads and tv shows.Plus people are not what they seem.Half of them are actually aliens in disguise.So begins his quest to get rid of them.This movie also includes one of the best fight scenes in any movie ever.Definitely a rental, and most likely a buy for any action movie fan.
