John Corbett was fantastic in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, so when I saw him on Emeril Live a few years back I paid close attention. What I didn't expect was to hear him signing country music. After that episode, and hearing only a couple songs, I had to go out and buy the CD.
I love this CD because there are two songs that just grab ahold of you and make you sing at the top of your lungs.
"Waiting on a Heartache" and "Wichita" are some of the best country songs I've heard in a long time. They have country lyrics, yet they sound sort of rock and roll. I was just blown away at how great these two song were.
All of these songs have a certain feel to them. For example, "Simple Man" lets you know what it's like to be a blue-collar worker.
If you love country music, or just love John Corbett, this CD is a must.
