John Deere Weather Station By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The John Deere Weather Station is a very handy little outdoor weather station that was a gift found online. I had been looking for something that would tell the temperature and also keep track of how much rainfall we were getting. I saw this online and was totally surprised by what all it did. It does the following:

--It measures the temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius and details the wind chill factor

--It tells you how strong the wind is and in what direction it is willing

--it measures rainfall up to 4 inches and even has a gauge to allow you to keep track of how much rain you've gotten.

The John Deere weather station is made out of plastic and metal with a glass tube to catch the rain. It's 7 inches high and 7 inches wide. It's done in the John Deere green and yellow theme with their logo on it.

All you have to do is mount this weather station to a sturdy surface like wood.

These run about $12 to $19 but I actually saw one for eight dollars on a website called Starcrest.com

Overall, a nice little weather station for people who like to keep up with the weather.

Cool that it tells you the windchill. I wonder if it measures down to -50 though....

I didn't know they had such a thing showing both temp and rainfall. How neat.

I'm not into John Deere, but it looks like it is a really great tool to have on hand.
