Johnny English (Widescreen Edition) on DVD is a sub-par movies starring Rowan Atkinson (known better as Mr. Bean on the BBC series of the same name, seen in the United States on HBO), in a rather Bean-like role as a bumbling special agent. I didn't much care for this spoof on James Bond type movies, but it was enough to get me through it. The movie lacked direction, and I didn't much care for the acting. I do generally like spy movies, and spoofs of them, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. The movie is rated PG for crude humor and some language and comic nudity, but it is rather family friendly. Younger audiences might appreciate the movie more than I do, but I just didn't like it.
