Journey To The Center Of The Earth : By Karen By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Journey to the Center of the Earth was one journey I could have missed. It stars Brendan Fraser, and is 92 minutes long. When this movie was coming out in the theaters and was being advertised on TV, it looked like it was going to be great and full of action. I even remarked to my husband that we would have to get the DVD when it came out. Well, we did, but I was left wanting more.

The movie is OK, there is some action and what visual effects there are do happen to be good, but for me it did not have enough action. I was left feeling like there should have been more. When the end of the movie came, I was thinking, "Is that all there is?"

There are special features on the DVD, but I didn't even bother watching them. Since the movie disappointed me, I wasn't interested in the special features. The beginning of the movie is somewhat slow, and when the action does finally occur, I just don't feel like there is enough of it.

This is a movie that you will have to judge for yourself. I would rent it rather than buy it. If you like it, you can always purchase a copy of it later.
