The remote to our daughter's tv quit working so we got this universal remote.It says it's compatible with most major brands.It also says it will control your tv, dvd, vcr, tv/dvd combo, tv/vcr combo, vcr/dvd combo, satellite and cable.It has jumbo buttons so we thought it would be great for our four year old to use too.We thought for sure it would work on her Disney tv.Unfortunately, we could never get it programmed.We followed the directions exactly as it said to in the instruction pamphlet, but it didn't work.We had new batteries in the remote so that wasn't the problem.The remote wasn't that expensive, so we're not out much money.Apparently, Disney tv's do not fit into the category of most major brands.

Awww what a bummer that the remote didn't work with your daughter's Disney TV! Are the Disney TVs a special brand or are they made by like a well known brand like Sony or RCA? If it is you would think it would work! Well at least you could use it on your main tv, especially if you can program so many things into it! I need to get myself a Universal remote. I'm tired of having 3 remotes but batteries for only one (I am so cheap!) so I end up switching batteries each time I have to switch to DVD or control the DVD.
