Jurassic Park By SandwichBender on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Even the people who wouldn't be caught dead with a book have no doubt heard of Jurassic Park. Although Michael Crichton has been around for some time, it's the book that really thrust him into the limelight, mostly due to the smashing success of the film adaptation.

While the book deals with some pretty heavy science issues, it does so in a way that everyone can understand. You don't need a Masters in biology to enjoy Jurassic Park. Although Crichton does a somewhat-admirable job of explaining how dinosaurs can be brought back to life, the story is about the dinosaurs themselves and the people trying to survive them.

Everybody loves dinosaurs and Crichton weaves a pulse-pounding techno-thriller that just about anyone who was ever a kid can get into.
