Just Like Having Ice Cream Almost By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Since I am a diabetic, I have to watch my carbohydrate and sugar intake, but like most people, I love sweets! So I am always searching for alternatives to sugar laden candy.

Baskin Robbins Sugar Free Hard Candy is delicious! My favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip. Each candy is individually wrapped, made with real cream, and sweetened with Splenda. They are sugar free, and because of the sugar alcohols (which have a very small effect on blood glucose) they can be enjoyed by diabetics (within moderation) without guilt.

For me, being able to enjoy the flavors of chocolate and mint satisfies my craving for something sweet, and 2 or 3 pieces are all I need. They are available in a variety of Baskin Robbins ice cream flavors, such as Fruit Medley, Cookies and Cream, Pralines and Cream, Vanilla, and Sherbet flavors.

Four pieces are considered a serving, and the calories per serving are 40, with 1 gram of fat, no cholesterol, and no transfat. Think of all the sugar, saturated fat, and calories you'll be able to avoid, without sacrificing the smooth, creamy taste of ice cream. These are really wonderful!

These sound mighty tasty. Not ice cream, but a good substitute. I'm not diabetic, but am watching my weight (and my waist, which seems to be growing...) -- so I'll be looking for these! Thanks for the info!

I have tried those too and they are good, better than anyone would think of sugar free candy tasting.

I didn't know Baskin & Robbins even had candy! I love that it is sugar free!

My hubby does the Atkins diet, these sound like they'd work for that. I know he'd love something sweet once in a while.
