Jvc Mini Dv Camcorder By Salmonblue on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I first received the JVC Mini DV camcorder as a gift, I was a little skeptical about its performance since it doesn't have the conventional viewfinder. But after having a thoroughly enjoyable time trying it out the first day, I realized that you really don't need a viewfinder when you've got a remarkbly clear LCD screen. The image quality of the LCD screen is already very sharp, but you can make it even finer if you switch the settings in the menu.

Another plus is that the camcorder doubles as a digital camera. It takes pictures that instantly go to a memory card whose contents you can view and save on your computer via standard USB cable. Both the USB and the memory card come free, along with a carrying case, a lense cap, two tapes, a battery charger, a TV connection cable, and a DVC video cable. The video saves to a tape in the camcorder, but you can upload it to your computer with the DVC video cable.

Overall, this camcorder definitely lives up to its expectations. Personally, my favorite aspect is the mobility of the LCD screen. You can twist it and turn it any which way you want and the picture quality is still excellent. I especially love to mess around with it when I am simply dying of boredom. It's great entertainment!
