Reviewing: Kalahri Waterpark Resort Wisconsin Dells, Wi

Living in the Midwest means you inevitably make at least one visit to the Wisconsin Dells, the "waterpark capitol of the world".Growing up, we would spend several days there each summer; always in a standard hotel room, visiting various waterparks, mini-golf centers, and other attractions.Times have changed, as the Dells now features a number of resorts with both indoor and outdoor waterparks on property and included in the price of the room.Twice now we have stayed at the Kalahari Waterpark Resort, and it ranks up there with the best resorts I have ever stayed at!A big bonus at places like the Kalahari is the waterparks; you can go to and from them and back to the room.No more driving all over the Dells, parking, paying admission, eating junk from the fast food stands, and driving back to your resort exhausted and yet still having to find dinner. The savings in both time and money is huge. The Kalahari features beautifully appointed and very large rooms. Both rooms we've had have been standard, but huge! Our rooms always had two comfortable queen beds, a pull out sofa sleeper, microwave, large mini fridge, table and chairs, and a balcony. There are many room configurations to choose from to accommodate any size family. The indoor waterpark is one of the largest in the country, and features a "water coaster", along with numerous slides, lazy river, wave pool, and even a surfing pool. The outside waterpark is just as spacious with every slide and attraction your family could want.Access to each is just steps apart, making going from one to another a breeze. The Kalahari features 3 full service restaurants - all serving delicious, high-quality food - a several quick service spots including a coffee bar, bakery and candy/ice cream spot.Stores offers conveniences and souvenirs, and the full-service spa is a luxurious treat!Staff at the Kalahari is top-notch; as the resort also features convention facilities, the staff is really trained to be professional and friendly.Everything is clean, too; and even though you are in the middle of a bustling tourist spot, you really feel as though you are in a remote location. If you do want to venture out of the resort, a deluxe cinema is steps away; and a new Tanger Outlet Center is across the street. Also nearby is the popular Cracker Barrel restaurant and store. If you are looking for a fun family vacation (or a romantic getaway...or a place for a reunion or meeting), I definitely suggest booking the Kalahari Waterpark Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.Website: www.kalahariresort.comP.S.If you're lucky, you may even be there when the tiger cugs are visiting!!

This sounds wonderful! As a very pale person who likes to spend time in the ocean, the pool, the hottub, etc. an indoor waterpark would be perfect for me. I also checked out the website - whoa! Like you said, there is tons to do! And the cabanas look pretty cool too!
