Kanye West Graduation By agaetis on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Kanye West's 3rd album is also his weakest, but definitely not a bad album. The album starts off insanely strong with "Good Morning" which has a great vibe to it and starts the album out nicely. For the most part the album has a "feel good" thing going on with a few hiccups along the way. Champion, Stronger (I know, it's overplayed), I Wonder, Good Life, and Can't Tell Me Nothing are all great songs until we get to the two worst songs on the album. Barry Bonds, which features Lil' Wayne, is probably the laziest when it comes to the beat. Lil' Wayne, who I usually enjoy on his solo stuff, does absolutely horrible on this track. Why Kanye chose to put this on the album I'll never know. Right after that we're thrown into Drunk and Hot Girls which barely features the great Mos Def. The track isn't as bad as Barry Bonds, but it defnitely feels like filler. Flashing Lights, Everything I Am, The Glory, and Homecoming are all good tracks as wel. The album finishes off with Big Brother, which is an ode to Jay-Z that sounds like a diss song and a love song at the same time. If you can get your hands on it I suggest the bonus tracks as well. The're good enough to have replaced a couple of songs on the album, especially Good Night and Bittersweet. Overall, this is one of the best albums of the year, but doesn't completely live up to they hype.
