Oh how my daughter wanted a Karaoke Machine for Christmas. I really didn't want to spend that kind of money on something that I new she would use after a few weeks go by. Yes, I was right. This Karaoke Machine is one of the useless ones too. It was just a basic one with a cd player and a microphone on it. If this was going to be of any fun. I would have had to purchase an extra microphone for a friend of hers to join in. I am thinking now that my daughter would acually have played with a Karaoke Machine more than I thought. But only if I had purchased her the Karaoke Machine with the screen , where she can read off the words of the song. Where this one did not have that. I am also uupset that I paid over $100.00 with taxes and the microphone didn't hold up. The top of it fell off. Actually it sorta just came apart over time (three weeks) as I saw it leaving the seem to the handle. So needless to say. This machine is not good for the serious Karaoke person. I feel that a Karaoke Machine with the screen , would be the better way to go. I don't know what i was thinking. But I would not purchase another Venture brand of Karaoke Machine again just because of the quality alone.

I thought about getting my son a Karakoe machine but I just don't think he would use it enough. I think he would use a few times and then it would sit in the corner collecting dust :)
I agree-karaoke machines are much more fun when you have the screen to follow along!
Karaoke will definitely not be fun without the screen cos the whole fun is to follow those wordings on the screen and sing along. Nevermind we learn from what we buy and experienced.
I purchased a karaoke machine with a screen and my daughter used if for a couple of weeks and it has been sitting around ever since. Not sure if the screen really matters, I think they lose interest in these machines rather quickly.

Thanks for the honest information. We have been thinking of getting one of these for parties, but I think we will avoid this model for sure.

I would have returned it Walmart if the mic broke after only 3 weeks!
