These are the CUTEST shoes! My son, who is four years old, has a wide foot. This shoe is made in a classic style (think Chuck Taylors). The lace area goes far down the top of the shoe, which allows the shoe to be opened up wider than most. This allows wider feet to slip into the shoe. I should menion that it is my experience that this shoe runs about a half size small so you might need to go up at least one half size.

The toe area is covered by a thick rubber toe guard. This is especially helpful when kids tend to scrape the top of their shoes on pavement or cement. The toe guard virtually eliminates damage to the shoe. The sole is non-marking, which is good news for your hard floors.

The laces for this shoe are of ample length. In fact, they are almost too long. They need to be tied in a double knot to keep them from being too long and, therefore, a tripping hazard.

When my son outgrows this pair of shoes, I will definitely purchase another pair for him.
