Keep Your Head Above Water By Scott Parizo on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

When I purchased my boat I needed to supply my boat with some United States Coast Guard approved life vests which are a requirement for the amount of passengers your boat can legally handle. I went to my local West Marine store and purchased this vest which are very cheap and little orange life vests. I purchased them for 6.99 a piece and you can also buy a bulk package as well. These vest are made to keep your head above water in deep areas if for whatever reason your under distress. I currently have 6 of them on my boat and there easy to store beneath the seats and very easy to put on just put them around neck through and over your shoulders and it has 2 buckle snaps to secure them to you. Sometimes i I will wear one out in the middle of the lake just to be able to lay out in the deep water and not have to keep my legs kicking all the time. Very good product.

These are not comfortable to wear for long, but they do keep your head above water if you actually had one on when you needed it.
