The Goldstar Air Conditioner is a very economical choice and is perfect for low income families who cannot afford to cool their entire home. The unit in question will easily cool a 30 x 30 room.
Of course, the Goldstar air conditioner is also a great choice for people, like me, who work third-shift. Since I sleep during the day, there is no reason to cool the entire house. The Goldstar Air Conditioner allows me just to cool the room I sleep in.
It's has a front-mounted removable filter can easily be washed and replaced. The handy remote also made it easy for me to adjust the temperature without getting out of bed. And, the digital thermostat made it easy to see the temperature at a glance whether it was day or night.
The only downside to the Goldstar Air Conditioner is the fact that some older homes don't have a 3 wire system. Goldstar does not recommend using this product without the additional ground because it may not work correctly.

We went most of our summers with just air in our bedroom until we could afford central air. I can't stand to sleep in sweltering heat, so it made all the difference just having our sleeping area nice and cool. This is a great price too.
This is important to aid in sleep for the hot months. I like this one has a remote that you can control too. I like to keep my room chilly, it gives me a better rest. I think I will have to check this one out. Sounds like a winner!
This is what we have in our house. Keeping the extra doors closed on rooms not in use only amplifies the cool air this little conditioner produces. Though the condensor is small, it has a great output for a small one. Proper winter storage(covered and wrapped) will lengthen the life of your air-conditioner. This will keep bugs and spiders out.! :)

These are quite popular among college kids in their dorm rooms here. They seem to work pretty well and the price isn't too bad either.

Perfect air conditioner to cool a room or two. We have a small one like this and it works great in our living room.
