I came across this cute red tomato while grocery shopping and thought it was a knick-knack for the kitchen. After looking at it more closely, I discovered that it was a tomato saver. It not only is a cute item, it is also serves a purpose. After cutting a few slices of tomato from a whole one, I have a container that stores the leftover. I suppose because it is made of some kind of hard plastic, it will last a very long time.
The other feature to this little red tomato is, the container is dishwasher safe. But because the tomato is approximately 5" high and 4" wide, I will wash it by hand and air dry it. I thought this was a product made and produced in the USA, but, after looking on the bottom, I found that it is designed in the USA, and made in China. So, even thought it is not American made, it is an item I will use over and over again. I think the price of this item is just right, I will go and buy another to give a friend as a present.

I like this container and have seen them advertised. I haven't bought one yet but I think I will. It's a bit bigger than I thought it would be.
