After realizing that I spent most of my time at the gym using an elliptical trainer, I decided to purchase one for myself. I tried many models and decided on the Horizon Kinetic Elliptical Trainer.
This is an awesome elliptical trainer. Very solid, great quality at this price! The guiderails retract for easier storage, and features front wheels to allow you to move it easily. The handle bars are stationary, and promote stability -- I just don't like moving handles, so it was perfect.
This machine is actually very attractive with faux wood inlays. The resistance can be graduated from levels 1 through 15. Digital display shows RPM, Speed, Calories, Distance, and Time. It is quite simple and intuitive to use! The front panel has room for 2 water bottles, and has a ledge for reading material (though I found placing it in front of the TV to be the most effective!)
This trainer is a great home gym companion, and gives a great workout!

I think you found a winner. It's a timesaver to workout at home if you can. No waiting in lines for machines and you can workout whenever you want to. This sounds like a stylish machine and a very effective way to stay in shape.
