Kenwood Sandwich Maker By Dom Sim on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
My old Panasonic sandwich toaster was so difficult to clean that I gave it away to my friends. This Kenwood sandwich toaster is real easy to clean. Usage is easy too. A simple red light on the toaster which turns green indicates that the toaster is hot enough for putting in my bread to be toasted. The handle of my old toaster was very hot too, but not with this Kenwood, the big handle actually stays cool and this benefits kids from getting hurt from hot handles .The whole toaster can be stored upright when not in use, thus saving space in my already cramped kitchen.
Plus points: It can toast both ordinary size bread and and the extra large french bread. The toaster toasts prefectly scoring 10/10. The toast is just enough to be crispy without being burnt. The inside of the bread is still soft after toasting and not overdone.
Cons: There is no timer to tell us when our toast are ready so need to check from time to time by opening the lid. If ham or bacon are put inside the bread and toasted together, they may get a bit hard and tough.
