Kerastase Nutritive Oleo Relax Smoothing Serum By bliss on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Kerastase Nutritive Oleo Relax Smoothing Serum was recommended by my stylist. Since I have coarse, thick, damaged hair, there isn't much on the market that will tame this without weighing it down. I was impressed with the smell and the feel of my hair after using this product. However, I was disappointed that this particular product from the Kerastase line, did not meet the standards of the other products they offer.

I normally do not have a problem with static in my hair, but this product seemed to give me some. The smoothing serum, used alone, did not do much for taming frizzes or controlling unmanageable hair in the humidity. This product did not hold up for me on humid days. The frizz just lies under the coating of the serum. The frizz was still there.

Most serums that help with thick, curly, unmanageable hair are usually thick. Serums that create shine and a finishing look usually are a little thinner. This serum is thin, indicating that it is a product for shine and finishing. I hoped that Kerastase would be different, but that is not the case. Oleo Relax is supposed to be for unmanageable hair, but this product did not do so well for mine. It may be excellent for those who only want a finishing touch.

I will not buy this again, but I will stick with the other products in the Kerastase product line.
