Kerio: One Tough Firewall
By Candida Eittreim onI owe the folks at Kerio a debt of gratitude. Thanks to their superior firewall system, I was finally able to take the first steps in identifying the causes of my computer problems. No other product out there has been able to even come close to what Kerio can do. It is truly a nifty piece of software.
The GUI is simple and setup takes just a few minutes. Once you're up and running, you can tell at a glance what is residing in your system and even better get logs of attacks on your machine. With both host and network based intrusion detection, getting past this firewall is not easy. My version uncovered at least 60 trojans-most of them DDS/DDOS. Those are Denial Of Service/Distributed Denial Of Service attack bots. Very grim news, but thankfully I was able to enlist truly world class help in ridding my machine of this mess.
The Kerio Personal firewall offers identity theft protection, packet filtering, file integrity control, malicious script blocking, pop up and ad control and the ability to place yourself in stealth mode for anonymous surfing. That's a hefty package of internet security features for a very low cost. At $19.95 it's a bargain, but right now it is being offered at $9.95. If you are concerned about your internet safety, give Kerio a try. It really is a winner.
