I had never heard of the Kettler brand until my husband contacted me wanting to know if he should get a used tricycle from his company classifieds. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about spending $50 on a used bike, but now I am glad we did.
Kettler is a German company that makes solid products, including bicycles, toys, and exercise equipment. This tricycle was made to last - it has a metal frame, thick plastic seat, and huge wheels. My son is only 2, but he really enjoys it when we push him around on his big boy bike, and we look forward to watching him grow into it.
The construction of this bike is really great. Although simple in design, durability was taken into account. The seat is adjustable, and has a handle cut out so that you can guide your little one while they are still learning. I like the thick tires - the bike will not tip easily, and can be ridden on the grass or a dirt path without any issues.
If you're looking for a solid tricycle made of something other than plastic, I would recommend taking a look at the Kettler brand. If you can find one used like we did - they are definitely great first bikes!

Just got know Kettler brand from here.Sounds like they make quality tricycle.

This sounds so sturdy & that it would be hard to tip over.
