Key West, Florida
By Dana onLocated at the southernmost tip of the United States, Key West, Florida is a great place to visit. The tiny island my absolute favorite place to visit and I can't say enough good things about it.
First, Key West is dog friendly, which I love because my husband and I always travel with our dogs. There are several hotels that accept pets and the locals are very friendly towards our pets too. The next best thing about Key West is the great selection of food. Visitors can choose from so many different varieties of cuisine at the countless restaurants that line the streets.
The scenery in Key West is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you take a moonlit stroll by the water or a walk through the tree lined streets in Old Town, you will be astounded. If nightlife is more to your liking, then visit the bars on Duval Street and do the famous "Duval Crawl." There are also plenty of entertaining activities for the whole family, including museums and water sports.
The next time you're looking for a great vacation spot, look to Key West. There are plenty of hotels to stay at, and the majority of rooms aren't too expensive. Getting to Key West is easy, as well. You can fly into Key West's airport, or you can fly to Miami, rent a car, and take one of the most scenic drives ever down the Overseas Highway. However you get there, the southernmost point in the United States offers tourists a fun filled time under the Florida sun.

Our family went to Key West years ago. My uncle lived there with his family. I remember riding the conch train (not sure about the spelling). It was so beautiful there. I remember the White Castle fast food-so many souveners.
