Kidconnection's building blocks are made of wood. It is recommended for ages three and up. The reason on the box is due to small parts. I have looked at all of the blocks and find that there are no small parts. These blocks are big enough that my daugther can not fit any of them into her mouth. They are great for learning. On one end is a letter capitalized. On the other end is the lower case letter. On another side is a number. There are also drawings of different things that start with that letter. My girl loves to stack the blocks next to each and on top of each other. They will also be easy to store. They are great for building houses, forts and other fun stuff. They are easy to clean when they get dirty. It also comes a bag that can hold all the blocks.
