Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is the 1988 comedy-horror flick from the Chiodo brothers featuring aliens from outer space who look like clowns. These are not typical clowns, however, as they use cotton candy to wrap their victims in cocoons and giant crazy straws to suck out their blood. Their spaceship, of course, is a giant circus tent. Although it sounds like this could be a frightening movie from the premise, it is so over the top that it is not really very scary but instead quite funny. The clowns don't speak english and walk fairly slowly, so it would seem like it would be fairly easy to get away from them. But their killer pies and shadow animals that come to life seem to have a way with their victims. If you enjoy cheesy horror movies that end up being pretty funny (think evil dead), you will like this movie!
