Killington Ski Resort By Maliki2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Being from Vermont most people tend to be in disbelief that I don't ski more than I do. Vermont is known for skiing and Killington is one of the best ski resorts in the country.
Killington is the largest ski resort in the Northeast area. The place is just huge, and if you have skied in Vermont at other ski areas, nothing will compare to this one. Killington has over 200+ trails spanning 6 peaks and 30 lifts so the lines keep moving even on the busiest of days.
There are over 90 miles of trails, so there is a little for everyone here. I started on the Snowshed base area which is best for us adult skiers that are lets put it this way, "challenged". There were plenty of trails for everyone, kids and adults of all sorts of experience. This resort usually is the first to open and last to close in the state of Vermont.
Killington also has a ton of resorts and hotel/motels in the area to fit most of your budget needs. It is the common ski resort area. There are many places to eat, fine dining, for fast service food areas.
Passes to the resort will cost you around $70...which is pricey but with the amount of skiing you can get done, it is WELL worth it. And you can get rentals and special deals on their website.

Good snow in Killington for skiing in the winter, also nice places to stay.
I'm not much of a skier, but this sounds like a really nice place to visit. And the pic is beautiful.
i remember this mountain on the Appalachian Trail. Killington has this hometown restaurant with large warm blueberry muffins that are like 2-3$ but amazing all the same.
I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to see snow! Coming from Hawaii it's hard to come by! I'd love to visit there one day & try skiing.
Sounds like a nice area! Hope to visit someday.
