Kindergarten Hooked On Phonics Beginning Reading By angelkisses on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My son is 5 1/2 he currently attends a private school in Gresham, Oregon. The school is a very good school last year he was in Preschool, he learned how to sound out letters and combine the sounds to make words. Over the summer I was worried that he would forget a lot of what he has learned from the year. While shopping in Wal-Mart I went to the book section; happen to stumble upon this book, after flipping through the pages, I realized that this Book was exactly what my son needed to review during summer. This book starts out with the Alphabet and familiar pictures next to the letters. Then the book moves on to words like nap and cap followed by a game to review the sounds next the book goes on to words like fin, tin, win followed by games that review the previous sounds. There are word scrambles and story time that is easy for your child to read. Kindergarten Hooked on Phonics Beginning Reading also come with flash cards and sticker and a certificate to make learning fun and rewarding for you Kindergartener. My son has practice 3 pages ever night since summer has started, he is doing fabulous. This book has made it easy for me to teach my son how to read. I would recommend this book too a teacher and a perent.
