Kindle : A Great E Reader By Trekkiemelissa on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When the original Kindle had come out, I wanted it. I didn't get one then because I could not afford it. Kindle 2 has been out for a couple months at least when I had bought the kindle 2, which I am very happy that I waited for because the design of the second version is better than the first version.
This version is less bulky than the original. They did improve on the memory size, but now there is no place to put a SD card in. Really there is no need for one as it does hold 1500 books. That is more than enough for most people. I also had heard that the battery life is even better than the original. The original came with a cover but with this version, you had to buy your own cover. Really that is fine because I can pick out the cover that I like best rather than getting one that you do not like.
Now, the kindle is a white. With white, it can get very dirty. What I ended up doing is buying a skin to put on the front and back which protected it from getting dirty. Now that I have one, I could never dream of my life without one. They are the best things in the world when it comes to a reading device. You can try to read books on a computer, but that really didn't work for me. I rather read on the kindle. Most books are available on the kindle, but there are still some that are not. Typically, the books are cheaper than buying the paperback, but not always. One other feature I like about it is that I can make the text size bigger. If you like to read, this is well worth the price. The same goes for if you do not have enough room for a lot of books in your home. Like anything there are pros and cons.

Gah. I really want a Kindle :) Though, I still love my local library.
I agree that white is impractical for something you will be holding in your hands for a long time, but having the option to choose a skin is a good way to personalize it.
This sounds really good! Haven't heard of it before, but definitely worth checking into.
Wow, it is very beautiful. I think it is a prized collection you had with you. Thanks for sharing the Kindle with us and the comparison you made with both the version will help readers make a decision.
Good work .Thanks for the info sharing here
Thanks for the review. I didn't even know there was a Kindle 2! But it's good to know. I've wanted a Kindle for a while now. Too bad you can't use SD cards with it.
I had been wondering about the Kindle2 thanks for the review.
Good to know about the Kindle. I knew some but now I know all about the use of kindle. I think it is worth buying if covers 1500 books. Good for readers and space as well.
Love the review!
