Kinko's Business Card Printing Service By Tina Lehman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When my husband decided to try to start his own business a couple years ago, we needed business cards. I was able to make a business card template myself using my own computer, but we wanted it professionally printed so we contacted Kinko's.
After calling Kinko's, I e-mailed them the file that contained the business card template. Then they printed the cards in color, 12 per page at about $1.29 per page. I thought that was very reasonable! After ordering 250 or so I went to pick them up and was surprised that my bill was $44! Come to find out, they also charge you to cut the cards apart at a rate of $1.49 per cut. With seven cuts per sheet of business cards, that was by far the largest (and most avoidable, on my part) expense. I was pretty upset I wasn't informed of this charge, but now I know to ask ahead of time.
All in all, the quality of the business cards we had printed at Kinko's was excellent. They were finished with our order within 24 hours. The cuts were straight and even (albeit expensive) and look very professional. I would recommend this printing service, but make sure to get an idea of how much they will charge you in the end before going in.
Kinko's business cards

I can't believe they didn't tell you about the cut charge before you ordered the cards. That is bad business in my opinion. thanks so much for the heads up!
What a shocker on the total price! I agree with kateri that it was bad business to now tell you about the per cut charge. Would you have been able to order the 12 sheets of business cards and pick them up and do the cutting yourself?
My hubby used to work for Kinkos. They can do business cards and so much more I never imagined.
Thanks for the heads up on cutting. I would never have guessed they charged for that.
They should of asked ahead of time if you wanted them cut. But at least you're happy with the finished product. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this information, I would have never known that they charge by the cut or even to cut them for that matter, This is good to know in advanced.
I have used this service before myself and it worked out pretty good for me. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh, I would have been so upset...for that price I would have cut them apart myself as I'm sure you would have too!
I'm very surprised Kinko's didn't ask you if you wanted the cards pre cut or not-those charges certainly add up-for the price you paid for them, those lines better be pretty straight!!!
Wow, that's pretty expensive just to cut the cards apart, thanks for the warning. Glad you were happy with the results though.
