Well my family and I had a kirby while I was growing up, and it lasted 12 years! Not too long ago my dad purchased a new one and, wow! They definatly upgraded. We got a great deal and the power is awsome! We use it for everything from vacuuming the pets to shampooing the furniture and ofcourse we use it as a regular vacuum. All the attachments are easy to use and get on. Its fairly light so its easy to move around. It seems like it will suck up anything! After my dad purchased the new Kirby I ended up moving out, and practialy stealing it! He bought me a Eureka vacuum for christmas, but I still steal the Kirby. My vacuum can't even come close to doing what a kirby can. The Kirby gets all the pet hair and dirt so I can put my son on the floor and not worry. So many uses, This vacuum is worth every penny! I highly recommend it.
