My husband loves knives! He is a part time chef and works at a country club. He wanted to upgrade our existing knife block set with the KitchenAid 14 Pc Stainless Steel Knife Block Set. He bought this knife set and just loves it! I also love it. The block itself is very attractive and matches all of our other stainless steel small appliances on our kitchen counter. The set includes a serrated knife, santoku knife, three other knives,scissors and a honing steel for sharpening, and six steak knives. There are a couple of drawbacks ... this set has six steak knives instead of eight which I would have preferred ... these knives are not dishwasher safe, and you must handwash them and towel dry to avoid rust stains. On the positive side however, these knives are sleek looking, well made, very sturdy, of excellent quality and sharper than any blade I've used before. This knife set is truly professional and built to last a lifetime.

This is a very nice looking set and the price for the quality you're obviously receiving is quite decent. I could see this set making itself at home on my counter. Thanks for the information on this product - I'm due for a new set and this sounds great.
