Kitchen Aid Refurbishsed Mixer By MamaFox on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My mom had a KitchenAid mixer while I was growing up. After I got married I really wanted one of my own. Even though I was frequently asked by friends and family memebers to bake cakes etc for various occasions I could never bring myself to spen upwards of $300 on a stand mixer. I resigned myself to a cheap hand mixer. One day I stopped into a kitchen outlet store and saw that they carried refurbished models for a fraction of the regular retail price. I went back and forth several times. The sales lady finally told me that if I bought it and wasn't happy, or my husband freaked out...ha ha, I could return it for a full refund. I was leary to buy refurbished because the warranty isn't quite as long ( I think it may be half of the regular warranty). But I justified it by telling myself that my mom and a friend who swore by hers had never had any need to use their warranty. I went ahead and took the plunge and finally (7+yrs later) purchased my KitchenAid. I chose Red...I LOVE it. I've never, in the 1+ year I've owned it, had a single problem with it. I have yet to regret my purchase and would reccomend everyone buy refurbished. Why pay more???
