Kitty's Garden From Smartcat By JP_Whickson on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I received a Kitty's Garden as a gift. It is a kit that has oats, wheat, rye and barley with peat pellets in a wooden box. The container is very attractive and the choice of grasses expansive and loved by one of our kitties. The other cat enjoys the munch occasionally. "The biggest problem that I have with the Kitty's Garden kit is the fact that the directions are on the bottom of the tray. I usually take one step at a time, and after filling the tray with warm water and waiting the prescribed thirty minutes, I had to lift it above my head, taking care not to spill anything to complete the steps.
Even though it was a bit messy to mix the seeds the results were worth it.
Smaller containers of seeds would have been appreciated, or reclosable containers, such as bead containers, since once the package was opened and planted, there was still a lot of seed left.

Sounds interesting! I'm glad to hear the drawbacks, but knowing them, I might try it. Thanks!
I should try this-the ready grown grass I've gotten lately has been lacking.
How neat!! I agree-why in the world would the directions be printed on the bottom of the container?! Were you able to transfer your seeds into little Ziploc bags? You have a great idea in that little bead bags would be perfect!
Strange that they wouldn't include a separate page for the instructions.
I have never heard of this but I do believe I have several cats who would like it!
