Klutz Pirate Ship Building Toy By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is the second set like this my son has bought. The first one was a castle and this was a pirate ship.

Unlike the last kit, this one had all kinds of odd shaped pieces. It was very difficult to put together and in fact, we gave up on the directions after about 30 minutes. Now, as long as you don't want to make the ship in the picture, it's ok. My nine year old son has only played with it that first day and then it frustrated him so much he lost interest. I plan to donate it to the after school room by Christmas unless it captures his interest again.

I have to say though, a definite plus is that although the pieces are made of cardboard, they are thick and sturdy. Still, all in all, this is not worth the money and I would not recommend it to others; it's a disappointment.

That's too bad. Klutz usually has such great stuff.
