Klutz Window Art Set By Jeanette Dusci on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My daughters recieved this set as a gift and have had tons of fun with it. It comes with a book of many patterns that you use to make window "suncatchers". Five colors of paint are included as well as a larger bottle of black paint that you can use to outline the suncatchers, making them look like stained glass. The patterns range from simple to elaborate. It is fairly easy for my kids ages 12 and 9. I think the youngest age for this would be about 7. Children younger than that may be frustarated if they don't have a steady hand. There are several plastic sheets included that you lay over the patterns. First you trace the outline with black paint or whatever color you choose and then you fill in the spaces. After a few hours the creation dries and then it can be peeled off the plastic and it will cling to glass. You can put it on windows, doors, mirrors etc. You can also design your own and not follow the patterns. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 is that I think that for the price, more paint should be included. My kids used it up fairly quickly and refills are expensive.

I have been thinking about getting some paints for my girls - these sound like fun!

I've always wanted to try a craft like this one. Sounds like fun and easy to do. Thanks for being honest about the amount of paint that is supplied. If it's your first time using the kit, you probably need practice so would use up the paint faster.
