Knowing: A Sexy Sensual Scent

There a very few fragrances that can be described as truly sensual. Estee Lauders Knowing is a standout in this category. Classy and sophisticated, it has been a favorite since its 1988 debut. Honestly, I never would have chosen this scent for myself. But with a man's gift of perception, my husband bought this for me as a gift. Much to my surprise it "trued" out on me perfectly. When a perfume "trues" all its notes come through in layers, from the first top notes to its more lingering bottom notes. This means a woman needs much less fragrance to make an impact.

The top notes in Knowing are a woody floral. Rose, mimosa, tuberose and plum. The middle notes tone down to a melange of your personal skin chemistry and notes of jasmine, patchouli and orange flower. Depending on how Knowing "sits" with your unique chemistry, this scent bottoms out to a soft lingering, yet heady blend of rose, sandalwood, vetiver and oakmoss.

Lauder describes this scent as having "a heady European sensibility". I couldn't say it better. It reeks of class, sophistication and opulence, without being intrusive. This is most definitely an evening scent, meant to be worn with a beautiful gown, dress or bare skin.

Knowing is not for everyone, its fragrance is too intense and individual. If you want to try it first, buy the Knowing lotion. Surprisingly, the lotion is just as strongly fragrant as the perfume itself, so you'll get a good idea if this scent fits your skin. From the ballroom to the bedroom, Knowing is a knockout!
