Today's technology is amazing. Even though I am not very familiar with how it works, I can appreciate and enjoy all these handy little gadgets (usually if someone else sets them up and gets them running for me). This digital picture frame is one of such things. I used to dislike digital photography because I could never get any pictures in my hands: they were all somewhere "in the computer," as my daughter kept telling me, and printing them out took time, etc., etc. I did not feel like turning the computer on each time I wanted to look at a photo. This picture frame solves the problem: you download digital photos into its internal memory, and it will show them to you on its screen one after another. My electronic photo album I call it. It sits on my desk, just like a regular picture frame, and allows me to enjoy some of my favorite photos, bright and clear. It can play music as well through the built-in speakers - a very nice addition.

I would say this is an excellent gift for parents and grandparents, BUT: Do not forget to program it and load all the pictures before you present it to them. There is no way I could have done it on my own. Reading the manual does not help much, I still needed someone to show me how to run this picture frame.
