Kodak Easy Share M863

I wanted a new digital camera that would be easy to carry anywhere, easy to operate, easy to upload pictures from, and easy on my pocketbook. I think I found just what I was looking for in this little Kodak. It is so tiny that it fits easily into my purse or pocket. It is basically a point and click camera, though it has several settings including panorama, and a very valuable digital image stabilization setting. (I have been having a lot of trouble with blurry images on my SLR digital camera because I cant seem to hold the camera still enough, so this feature is a life saver for me!). After installing the software that came in the box, I can now just plug my camera into my laptop and the pictures load automatically with no problems at all. Besides all those great features, Office Depot was having an anniversary sale and I got what I think is a great price on this little gem.

The camera only has 3X digital zoom and though I would have liked a strongerone, my budget wouldn't allow it this time around. Also it didn't come with an SD card, so I had to provide that myself. The camera has a very small memory without the card and you can only take about 5 pictures before you will need to upload and/or delete them from the camera. I happen to have a few SD memory cards from my old camera, so this wasn't a problem for me.

It has been only about two weeks since I bought it, but so far, Im very happy with it. I like that the lens retracts and is covered automatically when you turn the camera off. This model is 8.2 mega pixels so the print quality is great. For as small as it is,and easy as it is to use, and for the price I paid, Im actually surprised at the quality of the pictures and feel like I made a good choice.

I have an older Easy Share, and it took good pix, but developed problems early.
