This frame makes a great gift as long as you take the time to set up the photos for someone, since it is not as easy as the instructions would lead you to believe. There are some superior features such as you can display your frame on a tabletop or on a wall and you can display it either horizontally or vertically, which is kinda cool. It has a remote control. You can hook up your printer and prints photos DIRECTLY from the frame - you don't need a computer. It has video and picture formats. You can start viewing your pictures and videos right away by inserting a memory card, but it is hard to use with a MAC and it seems like the included software does not work. There is not a random photo feature, so you see the same pictures in the same order everytime you turn it on. The resolution is AMAZING.
