Kolcraft Options Tandem Stroller
By leosbabygurl onI purchased this stroller for my children because, let's face it, it looks pretty cool! I had read a great deal of good things about it and decided after seeing it in-store and comparing it to others in the same category, to purchase it online where I could get a better deal.
This stroller is excellent for the price. A bit longer than the average tandem stroller, but still fits in the trunk of a small compact car when folded properly with the seats taken off. The versatility of the seating arrangements in wonderful! My children can face me, face each other, face forward, and a seat can be removed for extra storage space in the already spacious basket underneath when you only have one child with you. The seats, admittedly, look small, but are actually quite roomy. The foot rests tilt, which I have never seen on another tandem stroller. Each seat tilts backward fully into the recline position, instead of just the top half of the seat like with most tandems. The sun shields are wonderful. They are SO much bigger than they appear in the manufacturer's photographs. They are larger than any sun shield I have seen on a stroller. This stroller also comes with an attachment for an infant seat and fits majority of the infant seats on the market today. Each seat also has a 5-point harness that can also be changed into the regular crotch strap and buckles, a head support for young infants, and shoulder strap pads.
For parents, this stroller handles like a dream. It's a bit larger, but it turns on a dime and I can maneuver it with one hand. It also has two cup holders for mom and dad, and as was mentioned, plenty of storage space in the basket.
And now for the cons. This stroller is a bit difficult when it comes to breaking it down to fold it and put it in your vehicle. Depending on the size of your vehicle, you either have to remove one or both seats. This is a bit tedious, but in my opinion, a small price to pay for an otherwise great product. The foot rests, while really nice in that they tilt for comfort, are not deep or low enough for tall or older children. My two-year old is tall and has no problems, but some children may not like having to have their knees bent to use the foot rest. The bar that comes across the seats, while removable, is made of a foam material that young children may love to pick at or chew on. For this reason, my daughter's seat has the bar removed for now. While the parents have two cup holders, the children have none. This really isn't an issue for me personally because we can always purchase separate cup holders to hook onto the seats.
All in all, I love my experience with this stroller. I think it's a great value for the price, stylish like the higher-end tandems, but at an affordable price for a growing family.

This sounds like a great double stroller, I love all of the extra features. I think it's great that the kids can face one another. It sounds like it is very easy to manuever which is a plus when it comes to strollers.
We bought a tandem Kolcraft stroller much like this one, for our two. I loved it. Often when shopping, I'd have them face each other, so they would be occupied while I shopped. The quality was excellent. In fact after 3 years daily use it was in good enough condition to donate.
What an incredible sounding stroller! I sounds well worth what you paid for it.
This looks like a great stroller--if I needed a double I'd go check one out!
That is a really cool looking stroller! So glad to hear it is very functional as well.
Love your picture! Your kids make the stroller look perfect for you and your family.
