Konecto Vinyl Floor Planks By Nicole on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We purchased Konecto vinyl floor planks that look like hardwood but without the high cost of hardwood for the main level of our home. We chose this flooring because it is waterproof (making spills from kids and dog accidents not so worrisome anymore), was within our price range, and came with a 25-year residential warranty.

I watched the installer installing this flooring and was very surprised with how easy install was. It went down very fast. There are no nails or staples for kids to catch their feet on. It is what they call a floating floor. The texture and color of the vinyl planks look quite a bit like hardwood floors. Cleaning is with a diluted vinyl floor cleaner. How easy is that!

My only con with this floor is that the kids have too easily put scuff marks on it from their tennis shoes (kids dancing around, sliding their tennis shoe'd feet across the floor). There are a couple of scuff marks so I would suggest a "no shoes" policy or a "take your shoes off at the door" policy.

Otherwise, the floor looks very nice, the cost was not outrageous, and install was quite easy.
