Kong Is King! By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Our puppy, Mojo, is teething, so he is constantly chewing and gnawing on things all over the house. My husband found this great little toy on a recent trip to Petco, so he picked one up. It is a solid, hard rubber cone that has a hole in the larger end. The hole accommodates a small dog treat, and can even hold "Kong Stuffing", which is a meat-flavored, soft Cheez Whiz-like snack for dogs. We fill Mojo's Kong whenever we need his attention diverted for a bit. He is content to sit and play with this toy for several minutes at a time.
Our breeder also advised that the Kong can be filled with chicken or beef stock and frozen. Then when Mojo is in need of some teething relief, we can give him the frozen Kong to enjoy (outside is best, since this can get a bit messy).
By varying what we put inside the Kong (peanut butter is another favorite!), the Kong holds Mojo's interest, and that saves shoes, toys and furniture from his sharp puppy teeth. Plus, unlike so many of his other toys, it doesn't squeak or rattle.
This toy is a must-have for dogs of all sizes!

This sounds great. I don't have any pets, yet. When the time comes to get a pet I will be getting this to save all of my shoes.
I like the versatility of being able to freeze it, stuff it or just leave as is for a dog to play with. It sure saves your furniture shoes and childrens toys!
These are great for dogs. I love the name Mojo! Everyone that has a puppy needs to buy one of these!
we used to mix cream cheese with their dry dog food, and freeze them. It took HOURS for them to work that out! Talk about cutting down on destructive behavior!
Sounds good. My three pups would love this.
