Kroger Nasal Spray By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Kroger Nasal Spray is very effective in my opinion and the best nose spray I have tried. It contains oxymetazoline hcl. This is the same ingredient as in Afrin , Dristan nose spray, Neo-Synephrine Nasal Decongestant, and Vicks etc. Some nose sprays contain one type of ingredient and others contain a different ingredient. The ingredient can usually be found on the bottle.

What's nice about this product is that it comes in a pump bottle so it sprays a mist that goes on easier and more effectively. I think this is the key to it working so well. You use 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril. It is advertised to last 12 hours. On me it lasted about 9 hours or so. It allowed me to get a full night sleep when I had a cold. The other great thing about it is that it costs half of what name brands cost.

It is recommended for people 6 years old and on up.

It has the usual warnings to consult with a doctor before using if you are pregnant, breast feeding, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostrate gland.

It's great to know that a generic brand can actually do the job just as well. thanks

I'm a nasal spray addict! I'm happy to say the generics usually work just as well as the brand name stuff :)

This sounds like the one I got at Target (their store brand). LOTS cheaper than Afrin and other name brands, but it worked the two nights I was able to bring myself to spray something into my nose! (I hate that feeling, especially when it goes down the back of your throat!)

I'd be willing to try this but we don't have Kroger here in Florida - at least not in the South.
